Summer 2018: Amazing Beaches to Check Out This Summer
Jun 22nd, 2018

Summer is almost upon us. As we gleefully search for where to spend the holidays, it’s important to put some factors into consideration first.

In this post, Yewande Salisu the Digital Marketing Executive for Page financials who loves to write informative contents that improve people’s lifestyles, shares with us few of the amazing beaches to visit this summer.

As much as we all love to visit the most popular ‘must visit’ beaches that most travel guides push our way, it can be very frustrating. Especially when you’re in the midst of crowd, have to stand and walk all day without finding a spot to sun bath. Nothing can be as frustrating as taking a stroll down the beach and bumping into other people too often (although that’s how love starts in some Hollywood movies). But if you are not seeking the Hollywood romance setting, then try and avoid some beaches this summer and find out a list of alternative beaches you can visit instead.

COO GEE BEACH SYDNEY INSTEAD OF BONDI BEACH SYDNEY

If you ask most people in Sydney, Australia of their opinion on what beach to visit, they would probably tell you Bondi beach without thinking twice. But I can guess they will also let you know that it’s crowded, very busy, expensive, overrated and worse of all the sea is confined for only surfing which makes it almost prohibited for swimming. However, I expect that they will give you more alternatives, but just in case you do not get the chance to ask around, try and visit Coo gee beach instead, which is an hour walk from Bondi beach. You can either take a beautiful stroll if you are with friends or enjoy a motor bike ride down to Coogee beach which is just along the coast.

At Coogee beach, you will enjoy the hip vibe, amazing eateries and tumbling waves. What it does not have is exactly the crowd and noise you don’t want if you just want to chill out and enjoy your conversations with your friends or just enjoy your lone time in peace.

VISIT PATNEM BEACH, GOA INSTEAD ANJUNA BEACH, GOA

Not everyone has India on their list of places to travel to, but if you sure want to visit India soon, try not to spend so much time at Anjuna beach. The beach is famous with its beach parties, which some might find very interesting, but due to continuous constructions by beach bars and hotels along the seafront, the beauty of the beach is gone. The white sand now replaced with mud and dirt due to mismanagement. For a less busy, clean and interesting beach in Goa India, head to Patnem beach in South Goa. Unlike Anjuna’s trance parties, Patnem’s nightlife is extremely laid back and intimate. Tourists can even bring their own instruments into the beach shack bars and play with the locals. How else can you experience the culture of India if you are not involved?

VISIT HALF MOON CAYE, BELIZE INSTEAD OF PINK SAND BEACH, HARDER ISLAND, BAHAMAS

There are a lot of colored beaches you must have heard of, and I’m quite sure Pink sand beach made it to the list. Some of these interestingly colored beach truly live up to their colorful title while others, such as Pink Sand beach in the Bahamas, does not. There is no doubt that it’s one of the most fun beach in the Bahamas, but its popular status makes it a bit of a tourist trap where everything is more expensive than usual among other reasons.

Often regarded as a Caribbean island itself, Belize offers some wonderful alternatives to the popular beaches of the Bahamas, and one of it is the Half Moon Caye, an island located at the southeast corner of Lighthouse Reef Atoll. This island paradise provides visitors with crystal clear waters filled to the brim with life, as well as idyllic beaches surrounded by a fringing reef.

However, it is also nice to visit both beaches, as they both offer different things at different time. For instance, you can visit the Pink beach when you want to enjoy the noise and buzz of the beach. But when you need to cool off, and enjoy quality time, then the Half Moon Caye is the best alternative.

VISIT PHU QUOC, VIETNAM INSTEAD OF KOH PHI PHI, THAILAND

I’m quite sure Koh Phi Phi rings a bell if you are a travel enthusiast that have spent some time searching for interesting places around the world. Koh Phi Phi is an island you would love to see first thing in the morning. It’s the perfect place to swim in Azure Ocean, or hide away in dense, undiscovered jungle. Koh Phi Phi is no longer the heaven it once was, because everyone wanted a piece of the pie.

While Koh Phi Phi still remains a must-see tourist attraction, it has lost it feel and coolness. You might still want to visit Koh Phi Phi for pleasure, but you need to visit Vietnam’s Phú Quốc first. Phú Quốc is what Koh Phi Phi was before everybody added it to their bucket list of places to visit. Unlike Koh Phi Phi, Phú Quốc offers plenty of opportunities. For exploration and adventure, perfect beaches, all year sunshine, divine eateries and sumptuous swimming activities.

Although, for the love of adventure, you should visit the overrated beaches along with their alternatives. Also visit other beaches you are yet to explore, so you can do a better comparison yourself.
However, it’s only a matter of time before these destinations begin to appear on every traveler’s bucket list.
