Dec 5th, 2018

Come January 2019, the Addis Ababa Bole International airport will become Africa’s largest airport. The Bole airport will take over from O.R. Tambo Airport in South Africa which currently holds a capacity of 20 million air passengers annually.

After the completion and commissioning of the expanded terminal, it will hold a capacity of 22 million passengers every year. The expansion of the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport started in December 2015 with the aim of commissioning it in January 2019.

While Ethiopian government is revamping its international airport to receive more visitors, some African countries have nothing to show for. We hope Nigeria will work hard on its aviation sector as well.
