HIGHLIGHTS OF TRIP

Rwanda is an Eastern country in Africa that will charm you with her beauty. No wonder the capital is known to be the greenest and cleanest in Africa. A trip to Rwanda will make you admire the hidden beauty of the country and the people. In Kigali, you will visit memorial centres and learn more about the genocide, explore the city and learn a craft (traveling is all about learning, you know). You will also visit Gisenyi, another beautiful city in the country where you will get to explore one of the greatest water bodies in Africa, lake Kivu and also spend a night in an eco friendly lodge, get a local pedicure at a hot spring and visit the border of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

THINGS TO DO/PLACES TO BE EXPLORED 

• You’ll take a trip to Nyamirambo, one of the oldest and most vibrant areas in Kigali where you either take a cooking or basket weaving class by the Nyamirambo Women or walking tour of the neighborhood.
• A visit to Kigali Genocide Memorial center. The memorial center is a place where over 250,000 bodies from the bloodshed in 1994 are buried. Although it is not a happy place to visit but as tourists in Rwanda, it is almost a must visit place so you know more about the genocide that wiped over 800,000 lives in less than 100 days.
• A trip to Gisenyi, a city in the Northwestern region of Rwanda is on the itinerary. At Gisenyi, you will visit the greatest lake in Africa, Lake Kivu, where you will explore the great water body, engage in some water sports and get local pedicure at a hot spring.

• This is an experience only listing and can it van be booked at any time in the year.
• You are required to give us at least 2 weeks notice prior to date of departure.
• To experience Rwanda fully, we advise you travel for a minimum of 4 nights. However, if you have less travel time, we will work on an itinerary to suit your time.
• The minimum number of person to book the trip is 2.
• If you are a solo traveler, please indicate when booking and a quote will be sent to you.
• You are required to have at least 6 months validity on your passport before you travel.

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation is in a airbnb/guest house. The cost quoted is per person sharing. if you would like a single accommodation, please state in the comment while booking.

FEEDING

The fee covers your breakfast throughout your stay. Lunch and dinner will be borne by you.

TOURS/LOGISTICS

Logistics include airport pick up and drop off and transportation to tour sites. If you would like to take any tour outside our suggestion, the cost of transportation will be borne by you.

For your tours, an English speaking guide will be available to take you around.

Once payment for trip is confirmed, we will send you a detailed itinerary and information guide to help you prepare for the trip.
