4 REASONS WHY YOU MUST VISIT APPADOCIA WHEN IN TURKEY.
If visiting Turkey for vacation is on your mind, then Cappadocia should be on your list of must see cities. You’ll definitely not regret visiting. It is a small ancient city in Turkey famous for its mystical landscapes and hot air balloon ride. Here are 4 reason why we think you should see Cappadocia.
- Take a hot air balloon ride: if ever you are thinking of taking a Hot balloon ride, Cappadocia is the only place you should do it. There is no place like Cappadocia in the world and the numerous balloons in the air makes it feel like a balloon festival. It’s insanely beautiful!
- Spend at least a night in a cave hotel: or two or three! Whatever you decide, cave hotel accommodation is a must in Cappadocia. You‘ll experience first hand what it feels like to be Fred or Wilma Flinstone with modern day amenities.
- From the castle, get a scenic view of the village: Another reason to visit Cappadocia is for the scenic view from a castle in a small village called Uchisar. The castle which is the highest point in the area rests just at the top of a hill. The castle was carved out of rock which makes it look quite different from every other castle.
- Explore Fairy Chimney: The Fairy Chimney remains the main attraction to Cappadocia. For many years, these strange rocks have been formed across the landscape. Some of these rocks actually look chimneys while some are just straight up.
Last year, we were in Cappadocia and before the end of our stay, we had the chance to sleep in one of the beautiful caves. We must confess that we enjoyed our stay. Though we only had two nights, but it was MEMORABLE! You can read about our stay in the cave hotelhere. Ever slept in a cave in Cappadocia? What do you like about the ancient city?
