Everyone wants and deserves to be happy. People derive happiness from many things; what they wear, eat, do, where they go to and all that. Doing things you really love and enjoy is one formula to happiness. Research shows that experiences (TRAVEL) gathered bring more happiness than things we possess. It has the key that changes one’s perspective of the world. In other words, TRAVEL MAKES US HAPPY!

HOW TRAVEL MAKES YOU HAPPY: TRAVELERS’ COMMENTS
To celebrate this year’s Day of Happiness, we asked our travel buddies to share how travel has made them happy. Here is what they have to say.
Unravellingnigeria: Honestly travel is truly the secret to happiness. When you travel you create new experiences and find new adventures which fill you with nothing but joy and these memories last a lifetime. Your spirit is renewed and if nothing else, it helps you relax. A relaxed person is a happy person.😊
Thestylishtrotter: Travel makes me happy because I am able to experience the world, eat different types of food and add value to the world. The value is in form of sharing insights, experiences and engaging with locals. This makes traveling worthwhile to me and it makes me feel very happy and fulfilled!
Tiiese: Travel often offers me the opportunity to challenge whats comfortable. I try to do this regardless, but more often than not, it happens on my travels. Wether it’s making an acquaintance on a solo trip, facing my fear of heights, learning a new type of dance or trying a new food… that feeling of accomplishing something that was once “outside the box” for me usually makes me a happier person!
Shokolokozee: Travelling makes me happy as it gives me something to look forward to. Travelling comes with diverse experiences and fun and these most times are happy moments.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
There are many people out there depending on us for their happiness. We can extend our happiness to them by putting smiles on their faces. Many young children and even adults in the countries we travel to for vacation are always excited when they see tourists around. Relating with them leaves them with a bit of joy. Let’s take our time to share our happiness with them. When we all are happy about life, the world would be a better place for us to live.
Does travel make you happy? If yes, Share with us in the comments! Planning a new adventure definitely makes us giddy with excitement and it’s an amazing feeling we can’t describe. Once again, Happy International Day of Happiness!
