Also known as Côte d’Ivoire, Ivory Coast is a tropical country in the Western region of Africa on the Gulf of Guinea. The French speaking country borders Burkina Faso and Mali to the North, Guinea and Liberia to the West, Ghana to the East, and Gulf of Guinea to the South. The country is the largest French speaking country in west Africa and third in the world following The Democratic Republic of Congo and France. The French influence is so obvious in the country, especially in their cuisines.
Ever heard Mount Nimba, which is a Unesco World Heritage Site? Well it’s housed in Ivory Coast. It is also the largest producer of cocoa (about 30% of the cocoa in this world is supplied by Ivory Coast). The country has two capital cities (Yamoussoukro being the political capital while Abidjan, the largest city in Ivory Coast, being the economic capital). While Yamoussoukro boasts of one of the largest churches in the world, Basilica of Our Lady of Peace, and the famous and very massive mosque, Abidjan is nicknamed “Manhattan of Africa” for the bright and shiny skyscrapers and the well groomed gardens of the Plateau.
The tourism sector of the country is booming and in 2015, they received over 1 million visitors.
Check out a few activities you’ll get up to during this trip. Activities/Itineraries are not set in stone so feel free to be a party pooper and opt out, haha!

We totally discourage bad energy during our Nomad experiences. If you know or you’ve been told you exude negative vibes, take a cue from Wizkid and please stay far away! If you are unadventurous, not interested in immersing yourself in culture or new cuisine, always moody, not a people person, only interested in sleeping throughout a trip, always late for everything, these are all signs of bad energy/negative vibes. Nomad experiences are a good vibes only zone and we’ll love to keep it that way.
Our trips are usually fun packed and adventurous, down to where we stay. We seldom stay in fancy hotels as it is not our thing. Expect to be lodged in Airbnb type accommodations. A fancy hotel will probably not permit our off key singing, dancing like no one is watching and playing Nigerian music at its loudest and as we would want! .
Our prices will cover breakfast throughout the trip and one fancy dinner on our last night at the destination. All other feeding expenses will be borne personally.
Our price covers tours and logistics as stated in our itinerary. Nomads that have confirmed and paid for any of the trips will receive a full itinerary and fact sheet in our NOMAD INFORMATION GUIDE. Cost of tours outside the stated itinerary will be also be borne personally.
