Travelling is really an awesome experience. It is fun and has the power to change an individual’s life. But with all the fun and all, it can be very frustrating atimes, especially when accidents such as robbery, pickpockets, or even misplacing an essential item happen.
In whatever you do or wherever you find yourself when you travel, you should always have something to fall back to so you do not get stranded. That is why it is important to keep items such as money, credit/debit cards safe and some other essential documents safe. I am not saying bad things will always happen when one travels, no! It is just in case of a worst scenario.
A lot of travelers must have heard of other people’s awful travel experiences when it comes to keeping money safe when traveling. If it can happen to someone, then it can definitely happen to another person. So it is very important to note these advises and avoid it at all cost. Even if you want to disregard all forms of money-keeping advice when travelling, you should always keep this tip at heart – DO NOT KEEP ALL YOUR MONEY, DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS IN ONE SPOT. If possible, divide your money and your debit cards and keep in different places. Having all your money and cards in one spot can be very risky. It takes just one time for everything to be get missing. When going around for walks, tours and other things, you can attach them to many places around you (your wallet, pockets, handbag) so if one happens to get lost or stolen, you have backup.
Here are a few more things to note to keep your money safe when on vacation.
HAVE A SEPARATE WALLET TO KEEP SOME MONEY
Having more than 1 wallet is not a bad idea. With extra wallet, you can have some of your money there and keep it somewhere safe (preferably your travel bag and keep it locked) before leaving your accommodation.
MOVE AROUND WITH DUMMY WALLET
Some cities are well known for pick-pocketing. If you know the place you are visiting is not to safe to move around with your wallet, you should consider buying a fake wallet that looks expensive, while keeping your real wallet where it is very hard to reach. If possible, you can stock the dummy wallet with some small denominations that you can easily overlook so when cases like mugging arises, you can have something to drop and before you escape with your real wallet and your dear life (lol!). This works well most times.
PUT ON WEARS THAT HAVE POCKETS
Putting of clothes with many pockets can be very helpful atimes. With clothes with many pockets, you can separate you money and keep in the many pockets.
Being robbed of your money or misplacing your wallet when you go on vacation can ruin your sweet vacation. So when next you are travelling, be sure to have multiple places to keep your money so when the unexpected happens, it will not really get to you unlike when all is gone.
