We all will admit that we spend most of our free time exploring places far away from home than actually seeing attractions around us. Right? Many times, we tend to ignore some of the nice places we have around us and rather holiday at other places. If we take our time, we’ll come to realize there are many beautiful places closer to us that we just don’t pay attention to, because LOCAL!
For many of us, summer period is the best time to go on vacation with the family and some friends. However, some people are unable to make the dream of going on summer vacation a reality due to light bank account. For other people, the stress of traveling far away, planning their vacation, getting their leave approved at the office set them back from going on vacation.
What if there was a way to have a vacation without having to travel out of the country, wouldn’t that be nice? Good thing is there is a way to make this happen without spending much and stepping out of your country.
Yes, staycation! You really do not have to break the bank just because others are going on vacation and you want to copy or do “follow follow”; on a low bank account. Staycation is an inexpensive vacation you spend at home or somewhere close to your home. The aim is to relax alone, with your partner, friends and family and take a break from your normal daily activities, in a very close attraction.
Check some of the things you can do to enjoy your staycation.
GO TO THE BEACH
Beach is one of the places to relax and release stress. Visit the beach, engage in some water sports and just have fun. If there is no beach close to you, you can also go to a pool.
SEE A MOVIE
You can visit a film house to see a movie or even decide to stay at home and organise a movie night with your friends. While seeing the movie, do not forget to have your popcorn by your side.
VISIT TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN YOUR AREA
There are some places tourist who come to your state/region love to visit. You can also act as a tourist and also visit some of these places.
TRY COOKING A NICE MEAL
You may not have the chance to travel to a country to try a foreign cuisine or even go to a foreign restaurant to get a meal. But right in your home, you can learn some of their recipes and try preparing something nice. It’ll be fun to do.
SPEND TIME WITH YOUR CLOSE FRIENDS AND FAMILY
Good and happy times are best shared with family and friends. Spend time with the people close to you, play games, crack jokes, tell stories, laugh and be happy.
Find a place you can go hiking, organise a small picnic with your close friends and have some fun.
If you can’t go on vacation, replace it with staycation.
