Have you ever dreamt of going on vacation in space? Finally, your dream is about to come to life.
Recently, the first ever luxury space hotel was announced at the Space 2.0 summit held in California. This was made known by Orion span, a space technology. In a statement by the CEO of Orion span, Frank Bunger
“We developed Aurora Station to provide a turnkey destination in space,”
“Upon launch, Aurora Station goes into service immediately, bringing travellers into space quicker and at a lower price point than ever seen before, while still providing an unforgettable experience.
The Aurora Station which can only host 6 people – 2 crew members and 4 hosts at a time would cost millions of dollars, starting from $9.5 million for a trip of 12 days.
According to Mr Frank, the goal of the project is to make space available to everyone and it will not only serve one use – vacation destination to tourists, but other uses such as research and manufacturing.
“Aurora Station is incredibly versatile and has multiple uses beyond serving as a hotel,”
“We will offer full charters to space agencies who are looking to achieve human spaceflight in orbit for a fraction of the cost – and only pay for what they use.
“We will support zero gravity research, as well as in space manufacturing.
“Our architecture is such that we can easily add capacity, enabling us to grow with market demand like a city growing skyward on Earth”

We can't get things down here right, we shouldn't be littering space with our Holiday Inns

Interested traveler can make a deposit of $80,000 to reserve a spot but the payment will be refunded if the Aurora station is not ready by 2022 slated.
Spending at least a day in the luxury hotel will really be a life time experience. But as much as it would be so much fun seeing the whole world from space, spending almost $10 million on this kind of vacation is way too much. As an average Nigerian traveler, we are almost certain no one from here is willing to spend that much just to see the planet Earth.
Would you pay $9.5 million to take a trip to the luxury hotel? For us, maybe not. You can share your answers with us in the comment section
