“ She has been feeling it for a while now – that sense of awakening. There is a gentle rage simmering inside of her, and it’s getting stronger and stronger by the day. She will hold it close to her – she will nurture it and let it grow. She won’t let anyone take it from her. It is her rocket fuel and finally she is going places. She can feel it down to her very core. This is her time. She will not only climb mountains – she will move them too.” . . . . Had such a bad night that than led into a bad day. Kept looking at my glass half empty. Tonight, I watched the sun paint the sky, clouds and water such beautiful colors. My glass is half full now. It takes one small thing to change your perspective on a situation. Here’s to all our glasses being full.💛💛
✨WOULD YOU do this (kiss a giraffe 🦒)? “YASS! DEFINITELY”🙋🏾♀️🙋🏼♀️or “Hell no” 🙅🏽♀️🙅🏼♀️? Leave a comment ⬇️⬇️⬇️ • I wasn’t actually kissing the giraffe but placed the giraffe’s 🦒 food between my lips and naturally the giraffe wanted to eat 😊 • Visiting the giraffe center in Nairobi is one of the must-dos. Did you actually visit Nairobi if you didn’t come here??? 😏It’s such a cool experience to be up close and personal with these amazing creatures. • Travel Tip for visitors: ➡️ Avoid visiting between 11am – 2pm especially if you’re looking for quality time with the giraffe and you don’t want anyone else in your Instagram photo shot 😩. There are many school children groups and tour companies that visit at this time slot. If you’re dedicated like me, visit at 9:15am ➡️Entry for non-resident adults is Kshs. 1000 (approx 10 USD) vs. Kshs. 250 for resident adults. ➡️If you’re visiting the elephant 🐘 sanctuary for 11am after (The elephant orphanage is open only for feeding between 11am-12pm), leave early enough to get a good viewing spot. Leave around 10:15 or even 10am. ➡️Enjoy an incredible moment 😊 • • • • • #SassyFunkeTravels #GiraffeCentre #Kenya #Nairobi #GiraffeManor #giraffe #giraffes #VisitKenya #kenyanblogger #Nigerianblogger
One of the reasons we chose to incorporate Hopkins into our Belize trip was the rich African traditions of the Garifuna people. Official opinions on how they came to be in Central America differ. Some historians believe they arrived by a slave ship that either became shipwrecked or was overthrown by the slaves (it seems most of the local Garifuna support the overthrown slave ship perspective). Other historians believe they were explorers from Mali (discovering America 200 years before Columbus). • • Either way, one thing is certain. They were a force to be reckoned with. The Garifuna intermarried with the natives, held off the British in battle for more than 30 years, and maintained the strong influence of their West Africa roots. Today their population is around 300k and their language, dance, and music traditions are recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural wonder. • • We truly enjoyed learning about the history of these people first hand! Our bartender, a proud Garifuna, had us completely riveted. He shared all the tea you can’t find in Wikipedia lol. After captivating us for a good hour and a half he dismissed us to the dock to enjoy the view. • • #garifuna #beautifulculture #tellmemore #hopkinsbelize #belize

A little something colorful to brighten up your week 😘😘 . Incase you were wondering what I've been up to since August started 😂😂 1. I finished all the wig orders and delivered all the bundles I had to deliver before the weekend started. This meant me going almost 2 days without sleep and basically going under the weather in the process 🙈 (My body doesn't like stress). I just didn't want anyone stressing me or swearing for me when I was unreachable so I had to deliver 😂😂 2. I unplugged and took a trip to Benin Republic- Ouidah to be precise. I was able to speak small French and communicate amidst plenty laugher from the locals, most of them speak pidgin French and zero English except for the tour guides who will want to collect money for their services 🙄 . Stayed in 2 different beach hotels, during my stay there I used the raw hair bundles in Dynamite texture and I must say the hair held up pretty well inspire of the windsss, it was extremely windy and you can hear and feel the ocean from very far especially in the evenings. Basically I had fun, but now I'm back 😊☹️ Very happy 😊😊😊 to come back, sell hair to my darlings and make money 🤣, but very sad ☹️☹️☹️ cause I didn't miss Lagos traffic, my head is already paining me sef. GOOD MORNING ❤️s . . . #casadelpapa #ouidah #naijapassportmovement #hairtopiang #naijanomads #travelfever #liveyourbestlifenow 😊
