As my 26th birthday approaches, I am filled with so much gratefulness as to where God has brought me. From this photo in Belize taken last year on my 25th birthday, to now, living in Grand Rapids, walking in my purpose…God never ceases to amaze me, no matter how much I stress and worry. Peace is the mood all 2018. Just posted my 2017 travel flashback, check out my fave photos on my site! Link in bio…what was your favorite destination in 2017? MALDIVES ON INSTAGRAM VERSUS MALDIVES ON A BUDGET. When you search #maldives you will see mostly beautiful water villas, private pool, beautiful underwater restaurants etc. The part nobody mentions the cost of staying in those villas😫. I’ve spent the past few days looking for the perfect accommodation for my trip to Maldives, when I find a really nice place within my budget the extras are more expensive than the cost of the room. For some resorts there’s 23% tax, 10% service charge and about 500usd for transfer from the airport to the resort, 500usd will take me to another country😂. I was able to find a manageable deal so I’m off to SRI LANKA AND MALDIVES on Sunday. . . MALDIVES COST BREAKDOWN. FLIGHTS: (Lagos-Maldives return ticket): 1114usd (N405k) on Turkish airline (36 hours travel time). 1192usd (434k) on Emirates airline (17hours travel time). Please note that this is an estimate. . . ACCOMMODATION: You can find rooms for as low as 35usd on Booking.com. When using booking.com don’t let your village people distract you from reading the fine print. Send an email to the resort to find out the cost of transfer from the airport to the resort, cost of lunch and dinner. . . DOCUMENTS REQUIRED. 1. International passport. 2. Yellow fever vaccination certificate. . If your goal is to hustle forward,PLEASE DO NOT GO TO MALDIVES TO LOOK JOBS. Don’t waste your money.

If you have never travelled alone – why not? What are your reservations or concerns about it? . . For me, it is one of the best things you can do for yourself. It teaches you many things including how to be independent and outgoing, plus it allows you to be selfish about your time and priorities without feeling guilty! The best part for me is undoubtedly the space it gives you get to know yourself better. I 100% recommend it to anyone, so if you want tips, comment below!🙃
