Few weeks ago, the Federal Government unveiled the new name and logo of the national carrier and also announced the start of its operation by December.
Earlier today at the Federal Executive Council meeting, the Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika made the decision to indefinitely suspend the carrier. However, the Minister was no happy to make the announcement as he took to his twitter platform to let all Nigerians know about the news.
I regret to announce that the Federal Executive Council has taken the tough decision to suspend the National Carrier Project in the interim. All commitments due will be honoured. We thank the public for the support as always.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬

As usual, Nigerians are not too happy to hear about the suspension. Some people have
It was all a big fraud, an avenue to empower the “boys” 4 elections.First, AGF paid 17 Billion for a job already paid for by GEJ, then they came with Nigeria Air. All that millions spent junketing round the world and designing logo gone. BMC hailed it.Let’s wait for another scam.

There is no difference between Nigeria Air and MMM.

After giving out $600000 to a company in Bahrain to design Nigeria Air logo
After spending huge amount of taxpayers' money on an expensive trip to UK to launch Nigeria Air logo
The entire charade has now been suspended indefinitely
Buhari is the greatest fraud of this age

Dear sir @DrJoeAbah , can you make a thread on why despite our fervent prayers , Nigeria Air was prematurely suspended?
— koko zaria (@FolaRedDevil) September 19, 2018
The Minister did not give a reason for the suspension but we hope very soon they do something about it.
We really wanted the carrier to become operational in December but now, no carrier in December. Were you also expecting it to start operations in December?
